Quinta

The Staatskapelle Dresden, under the direction of the prestigious conductor Daniele Gatti, will be the protagonist of an exceptional series of four concerts dedicated to the complete symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven. On this occasion, the programme includes the performance of symphonies no. 1, 4 and 5, which will offer a complete musical experience covering Beethoven's early classical beginnings to his most emblematic works. The Fifth Symphony, one of the composer's most iconic works, captivates with its famous four-note initial motif. Composed between 1804 and 1808, during a period of personal and creative crisis, it reflects his struggle with deafness as well as the tensions that marked his life. The journey through Beethoven's nine symphonies is also accompanied by new creations from four distinguished European composers. In this case, we will feature a work by Clara Iannotta, which will add a contemporary counterpoint.
