L’elisir d’amore de Gaetano Donizetti

Under the baton of master Josep Miquel Mindàn and the stage proposal by award-winning director Jaume Villanueva, Òpera Popular de Barcelona presents the most brilliant opera by great composer Gaetano Donizetti, considered a masterpiece of the lyric genre. This version, like other operas premiered by Òpera Popular de Barcelona at Palau de la Música Catalana, is set in the capital city, transforming the bucolic settings of the original piece into the atmosphere of an idyllic festa major in the imaginary (or not) neighbourhood Ciutat Bella, where the loves and intrigues of the story's protagonists unfold.
