I’m a Soul Woman

I'M A SOUL WOMAN offers us an exciting journey through American music of the last century, through musical styles such as Gospel, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Funk and Disco music, to reconnect with the legendary singers who marked an era in popular music of the 20th century, such as Nina Simone, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan or Donna Summer. These empowered women defended ideals of racial and gender equality from the stages, and opposed established norms through unforgettable songs that helped to change our world. Hand in hand with the best female voices of the country, and with the support of Lalo López and a luxury band with musicians from the Tony Manero Foundation, A Contra Blues, and the Original Jazz Orchestra, we will revive these mythical songs on a stage as special as that of the Palau de la Música Catalana, keeping the flame of black music burning and continuing the fight against inequalities song by song. Respect!
