Dani Espasa & Juan de la Rubia

Dani Espasa and Juan de la Rubia, two major keyboard names, meet for the first time in a project of this magnitude. Two musicians who admire each other and who share a particularly free and creative way of approaching music, specialists in clavecin and organ, but also improvisers, creators and musicians with an open outlook. The Palau de la Música Catalana brings them together to tackle the Six Concertos for Two Keyboards by Antoni Soler, with the freedom to choose the instruments that best serve the expression of each work. The concert is part of the Palau's project to recover this season the figure and work of Antoni Soler, a heritage composer and one of the outstanding personalities of 18th-century keyboard music. His concertos find here two interpreters with a strong individual personality, in an encounter conceived not only to recover this repertoire, but to make it sound from a living and contemporary perspective.
