Baixos Fons

The Granollerina company Quatre x Quatre, with over 40 years of experience, premieres Baixos Fons, a work that moves away from complacent theatre to delve into a raw and stark reality, with a direct and deeply uncomfortable gaze. Based on the original text by Maxim Gorki, the work is set in a dirty and decadent space where impoverished characters and those on the margins of society coexist. They all carry a complex past and face the present from different perspectives, marked by the way of resisting or surrendering before life. The arrival of Sveta, a mysterious and compassionate woman, will alter the group's equilibrium and bring to light the conflict between truth and hope. Frustration, resignation and despair permeate a proposal that observes without concessions the hardest reality. A striking portrait of marginality and exclusion that challenges the audience with a stinging honesty.
