—Vespres d'Arnadí & Espasa.
Alessandro is one of Handel's least known operas and an opportunity to delve into a less frequented part of his catalogue. Inspired by the figure of Alexander the Great, the work presents the conqueror divided between his ambitions and the love rivalry of two women, in a plot that allows Handel to unfold all the vocal and dramatic richness of his operatic writing. One of the great attractions of the proposal is also its artistic team, with a substantial representation of musicians from our country. Gabriel Díaz assumes the role of Alessandro, alongside Emőke Baráth, Núria Rial, Anna Brull, Xavier Sabata, Ferran Mitjans and Josep-Ramon Olivé. In the pit, Vespres d'Arnadí and Dani Espasa, ensemble and conductor with a consolidated international prestige in the baroque repertoire, complete a proposal that claims a less usual Handel from the musical talent of the country.
