ADDA Simfònica Alacant & Josep Vicent

For the third consecutive year, the ADDA Simfònica Alacant celebrates its Christmas Concert under the direction of Josep Vicent, a must-see event in Barcelona's musical calendar. A leading orchestra in Spain, the ADDA already boasts a long history, including a recent tour of Japan. Josep Vicent, who has accompanied the orchestra for ten years, is also the chief conductor of the Argovia Philharmonic in Switzerland. The concert offers a musical journey dedicated to love featuring three standout works: the overture-fantasy Romeo y Julieta by Piotr Ilich Chaikovski, and the suite from the ballet Romeo y Julieta by Serguéi Prokófiev, which offer two perspectives on the Shakespearean classic; meanwhile, the symphonic dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein provide a modern, emotional counterpoint.
