With Nino Rota's Concertante Divertimento, the cello leaves its usual role to become a brilliant and expressive soloist, in a work full of ingenuity, virtuosity, and contrasts, featuring an exceptional performer in Blai Gumí. In the second part, Ígor Stravinsky's suite from The Firebird unleashes all the evocative power of the great symphonic repertoire: music of intense orchestral richness that transforms the legend into a captivating sonic experience, culminating in a finale of extraordinary energy.
