The terrible need to go on holiday. Pirates Theatre adapt Carlo Goldoni's trilogy La villeggiatura, one of the liveliest and most irreverent comedies by the popular Venetian playwright. Through the crossing of two families determined to make the most lavish summer holiday, Goldoni portrays the clash between old traditions and ever-changing new fashions with his direct and popular style. With a reduced number of actors, multiple characters fill the stage and tell this story full of humour, criticism, and music with the company's usual artisanal seal. A new adaptation that shakes a classic of universal theatre to make a reflection on daily rituals, absurdly ostentatious holidays, submissive consumerism, and routine breaks that could change everything.
