Exposició "Una força del passat"

"Una força del passat" brings together a selection of works from, mainly, the Contemporary Art Collection of the "la Caixa" Foundation, a broad and diverse ensemble that constitutes an inexhaustible source of ideas, narratives, and ways of interpreting our culture and our time. This exhibition takes its title from a poem by Pier Paolo Pasolini to pose a question to which the various works and artists respond in always different ways. The show gathers works that refer to previous paintings, sculptures, mythologies, and iconographies through quotation, appropriation, homage, or critical confrontation. Not to establish closed genealogies, but to open a dialogue between epochs from which to think the present.
