Exposició "Pere Portabella: la mirada compromesa"

In the context of «Acció Portabella», an initiative celebrating the centenary of the filmmaker, a screening programme dedicated to his films expands the constellation of practices surrounding moving image present in the museum's collection. His work falls within a period marked by censorship and a lack of freedoms, in which cinema also became a way to make visible what remained outside the frame. Portabella works from the margins of the industry and established languages, and constructs a cinema that evades linear narration to open spaces for reading and thought.
