Northern Cellos is formed by four young cellists from the Girona comarques and a percussionist/drummer also from the Empordà. All with classical training - they are graduates of the Conservatories of the Liceu, of the Balearic Islands and of Utrecht - they have opted for the creation of an innovative project that aims to bring music, in general, and the cello, in particular, to the general public. Alternating electric and acoustic cello formats, Northern Cellos offers 2 innovative shows that will not leave anyone indifferent. From the most famous works in the history of cinema music and series, to great Hits of varied styles ranging from Pop to Rock passing through Metal and Dance. Since their formation in 2018 they have performed in more than 150 towns in Catalonia, Andorra, France and the Community of Madrid, in renowned Auditoriums and Festivals such as the Festival de la Porta Ferrada, the Pau Casals Auditorium of El Vendrell or the National Auditorium of Andorra, among others. It is a show based on a selection of the best soundtracks in the history of cinema and series, in a unique and innovative format in our country: four cellos and percussion. Designed to please all types of public, the repertoire combines different music styles, whether traditional cinema music, musical cinema or even more modern music. Always through own arrangements, Medleys (popurris), main themes and Openings of classics such as Cinema Paradiso, highly media-repercutant films such as The Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean, from musicals that have made history such as La La Land, and even music from successful series such as Friends or Game of Thrones.
