The amateur theatre company from Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Clis, Clis i Nyac, was born in 1991, premiered its first play in 1992... and continues to this day! We work on our own plays (and occasionally others') with an amateur style, pleasant, sometimes funny, and a serious, critical, interesting background. Synopsis Under the title Mequinensa we group four short stories that Jesús Moncada, the best writer of the Franja de Ponent, wrote in the 70s and published in 1981 along with twelve others in Històries de la mà esquerra. We, Clis, Clis i Nyac have adapted these four for theatre. In the first story, the distress of the people of Mequinensa is felt due to the sinking of the village under the waters when building the "El Mar de Aragón" dam! The second is a letter that Estanislau de Llasegre, a circus artist known as Joe Galaxia, writes to an unknown lady on account of... The third takes place among mining people. Strong, tough people... and full of superstitions. In the last story, we see the tranquil daily life of the elders at the village café. The play has a duration of 80' and eleven people participate.
