Christian Blackshaw begins at the Palau de la Música Catalana a recital of the complete set of Mozart's Piano Sonatas, an opportunity to delve into one of the great bodies of the piano repertoire and follow, concert by concert, the evolution of the composer's keyboard writing. Mozart in pure form, without orchestra or artifice, only the piano and an interpreter serving a music in which transparency reveals every detail. This first event brings together five sonatas from different periods, from the luminous Sonata No. 1 in C major, KV 279, to the Sonata No. 17 in B-flat major, KV 570, one of the last that Mozart wrote. Blackshaw thus lays the first stone of a complete cycle that will allow rediscovering an intimate, imaginative and extraordinarily diverse Mozart, from the closeness of the piano recital.
