Branford Marsalis Quartet & Dianne Reeves

The celebration of the centenary of John Coltrane, born on September 23, 1926, marks the starting point of the meeting of two of the iconic figures of jazz today: Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves. The saxophonist and vocalist have taken as a reference a very special recording within Coltrane's discography, the one co-starred with the vocalist Johnny Hartman (1963). It is, without a doubt, not one of the saxophonist's canonical albums like A Love Supreme, but it is the undisputed soundtrack for many people who have taken shelter more than once listening to the tenderness of Hartman's voice alongside Coltrane. The challenge for Dianne Reeves and Branford Marsalis's quartet (with Joey Calderazzo, Eric Revis and Justin Faulkner) is, therefore, monumental, and will also have its translation in an album that must appear on Blue Note this autumn. The Barcelona date is, in addition, the only Iberian date and the start of the European tour of this project. IMPORTANT: Minors under 16 years old can only access the venue accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian. It is essential to present the Responsibility Form (see attached documents) properly printed and completed.
