Barberismes

The classics of the Catalan choral repertoire and the American barbershop tradition come together in a surprising, intimate, and original show. The vocal quartet Metropolitan Union presents Barberismes, a surprising journey through the Catalan popular repertoire arranged in barbershop style. With stage direction by Dani Coma and voices from Daniel Morales, Martí Doñate, German de la Riva, and Joan Mas, the concert transforms well-known songs such as Rossinyol, La cançó del lladre, Les flors de maig, and Un núvol blanc into harmonizations full of color and camaraderie. Humor, ingenuity, and tradition come together in an intimate and original show that brings barbershop to Catalan culture. Inspired by both the Clavé choral movement and the barbershop tradition, Barberismes creates a bridge between two realities through a shared musical essence.
