Un museu fora del museu

The exhibition "Un museu fora del museu" proposes bringing contemporary art pieces from the Collection and Archive of the MACBA to everyday and social spaces throughout Catalonia to generate new forms of encounter with art. The waiting room of a dentist, a pastry shop, the changing rooms of a football field, a mortuary or bus stops are some of the spaces that host this project promoted by the Department of Culture, in collaboration with the visual arts centres of Catalonia and the MACBA. The project aims to offer proximity experiences with the public, outside the usual context of exhibiting works, and to deploy contemporary art throughout the country. A project curated by Martí Manen.
