Quan la ficció ens va advertir: distopies del cinema i la literatura que van imaginar els conflictes del nostre temps

An event that traverses major dystopian literary and audiovisual works to analyze how imagination has anticipated the conflicts of contemporary societies. Through classic titles, themes such as the control of information, the loss of intimacy, technology, and social inequality will be explored. The conference proposes dystopia as a critical tool to understand the tensions of our present through literature, cinema, and sociology. Project coordinated by the Library Service of the Girona Provincial Council. BiblioSTEAM is a project conceived by the Library Service of the Girona Provincial Council aimed at fostering knowledge and scientific and technological disciplines among library users. Universal access to knowledge is one of the basic work lines of public libraries. In this sense, it is necessary to provide tools to the citizenry to facilitate reflection and critical thinking around scientific content, with special attention to "frontier science" understood as research that represents a very significant advance for knowledge.
