For over fifty years, Numakage, a suburban public pool in Tokyo, has been a meeting point for older people, families, and gay cruising communities. Facing its demolition, despite local opposition, the film traces collective grief through the five stages of Kübler-Ross, questioning a loss usually reserved for human death. Directed by Shingo Ota. Production by Kyoko Takenaka. Editing by Shingo Ota. Production company Hydroblast.
