To win her over, he resorts to a supposed love elixir sold by the chatterbox Dulcamara, which triggers funny situations and complications. However, when Nemorino unexpectedly inherits a fortune, Adina discovers his true feelings. Has it really been Dulcamara's potion or the sincerity of love? Humor, tenderness and irresistible melodies combine in this charming opera about love and deception. Opera in two acts, with a libretto by Felice Romani, based on Le philtre d'Eugène Scribe.
