Exposició "L’oposició del polze”

The exhibition "L'oposició del polze" by Laia Martí Puig links textile production and artificial satellites in the context of the current planetary situation. With the artistic gesture of disassembling a space engine, Martí Puig brings us closer to these technical objects, which hover over the Earth with discretion, tracing some telecommunications of this post-digital era. Likewise, the recycling of textile waste with which the artist transforms post-consumer fabric into an emerging sculptural material also entails a disassembly: of those elements and aspects that make up our clothing. The artist invites us to perceive technology from the tangibility of technique, and to resize the human perspective before life cycles and finite resources.
