"De cua d'ull" is an expression used when looking at something in a disguised or indirect manner, without turning the head or paying open attention to it. It is like observing something using peripheral vision, so it seems as if you are not looking at it. This is the gaze that LUCE incorporates into their artistic practice, a way of relating to public space that requires paying attention to everything that happens around and adapting to circumstances as they appear. The modus operandi of LUCE (Valencia, 1989) is the constant journey through the city. This is their space of exploration, learning, and creation. The city and its periphery are the place of their origins in the field of graffiti. And, rooted in this practice, lies their interest in writing, which extends throughout their entire work. You can consult more information about the exhibition "De cua d'ull" on the website of La Fabra Centre d'Art Contemporani.
