What world do we want to leave to future generations? A disturbing story about our individual and collective responsibility.rnrnHazel (Aránega) and Robin (Boixaderas) are a couple of retired nuclear scientists who live together in a country house, isolated from the rest of the world. From there, they observe the effects of a recent accident at the plant where they used to work until, unexpectedly, Rose (Vilarasau), an old colleague of theirs with whom they had not heard news for about 30 years, appears. This visit, which turns out to be anything but casual, triggers a series of tensions and revelations. Under the shadow of radiation, secrets and guilt will come to the surface as they decide who must be sacrificed for the future.rnrnLucy Kirkwood presents us with an intimate and stinging drama about generational debt, ethical responsibility, and the world we will leave to our children.rnBecause we are all responsible for what is to come. rnAnd we all have the power to rewrite the future. rnBest Work in the UK Writers' Guild Awards in 2018.rnOne of the three best works of the 21st century according to The Guardian.rnrn rnrn rnrnBest Work in the UK Writers' Guild Awards in 2018 Nominated for 2 Tony Awards in 2018rnrn rnrnArtistic creditsrnrnAuthor: Lucy KirkwoodrnrnTranslation: Cristina GenebatrnrnDirection: David SelvasrnrnCastrnrnEmma Vilarasau–RosernrnMercè Aránega–HazelrnrnJordi Boixaderas–Robinrnrn rnrn rnrnSet design: Josep IglesiasrnrnCostumes: Maria ArmengornrnlLighting: David BofarullrnrnSound: Lucas Ariel VallejosrnrnTechnical direction: Enric AlarcónrnrnStage management: Marc BerraondornrnHead of theatre: Marta PérezrnrnMarketing and communications: La VillarroelrnrnScene photos and social media: Marc MampelrnrnPoster image: Marta MasrnrnGraphic design: Queralt GuinartrnrnFirst performance at La Villarroel on February 7, 2026rn rnrnWith the support of ICEC (Institut Català de les Indústries Culturals)rnrnIt is a production of La Brutalrn
