El Muntaplats

Theatre / Absurd comedy In a room, two women wait for instructions for a job that never quite arrives. Everything seems stalled and harmless. But beneath the surface, tension grows. Between apparently trivial conversations and glances heavy with suspicion, the atmosphere becomes increasingly warped until it is almost unbreathable. Suddenly, a tray table bursts onto the stage... and nothing is ever the same again. With a biting black humour and unsettling surrealist touches, The Tray Table, by Harold Pinter, is an absurd comedy that speaks as much through silence as through words. A game of power, foolishness and mystery that keeps the audience in suspense until the very last moment. Two consecutive performances will be presented in which the actresses will swap roles. At 18.00 h, Version 1 will be performed and, at 19.30 h, Version 2. Despite starting from the same text, the change in cast brings new nuances and interpretations that turn each performance into a different experience. That is why attending both versions is a unique opportunity to discover two perspectives on the same work. Between the two performances, during the interval, a glass of cava will be offered to all spectators.
