David Khrikuli

Repertoire Frédéric Chopin: Polonaise, op. 44; Nocturnes, op. 56; Sonata no. 3, op. 58 Maurice Ravel: Gaspard de la nuit Sergei Rachmaninov: Variations on a Theme of Corelli, op. 43 Artist David Khrikuli, piano Programme Georgian pianist David Khrikuli has established himself as one of the most promising young voices on the international piano scene. A distinguished finalist of the XIX International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, Khrikuli combines a solid academic training with an international career that has taken him to win awards and perform with orchestras from various countries and in prestigious halls. In this recital, he tackles one of the most demanding repertoires in piano literature. Chopin's Polonaise, op. 44, the selection of Nocturnes, op. 56, and Sonata no. 3 reveal the technical complexity and expressive intensity of the Chopinian language: rhythmic virtuosity, inner polyphony, and timeless lyricism. On the other hand, Gaspard de la nuit, by Maurice Ravel, with its fascinating sonic world and its digital challenges, demands extreme technical control and a very refined timbral palette. Finally, Sergei Rachmaninov's Variations on a Theme of Corelli, op. 43, requires exceptional mastery of texture, phrasing, and dynamics. This programme reflects Khrikuli's ability to approach a romantic and impressionist repertoire with depth and personality. More information Concert "David Khrikuli.
