Cavalleria rusticana i Pagliacci

Two short operas that bring together some of the most intense dramas in the repertoire. At Cavalleria rusticana, a story of jealousy and honor in a Sicilian village ends in revenge and death. At Pagliacci, a theatre company experiences a similar conflict when reality breaks onto the stage and turns a performance into tragedy. With live music and great moments such as the Intermezzo or Vesti la giubba, these two pieces show human passions pushed to the limit, with direct and striking emotional force.
